Care & Maintenance
At Rosario Cabinets, we take pride in crafting high-quality cabinetry that enhances the beauty and functionality of your home. To keep your cabinetry looking its best for years to come, follow these simple care and maintenance guidelines.
Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL) Products
For routine cleaning of Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL) surfaces, use a mild soap and water solution with a soft cloth or sponge. Always choose non-abrasive tools like microfiber cloths to avoid scratching or dulling the surface. Avoid harsh chemicals such as bleach, ammonia, or abrasive cleaners, which can cause damage or discoloration. Before using any cleaning product, test it in a small, hidden area to ensure it doesn’t affect the finish. Always dry the cabinets thoroughly after cleaning to prevent moisture damage.
Removing Fingerprints & Smudges
To eliminate fingerprints and smudges from your cabinet doors, we recommend using a glass cleaner. Apply the cleaner to a soft cloth or paper towel, then gently wipe the affected area.
Thermofoil Products
Like any surface, thermofoil can be affected by smoke, oils, grease, and sunlight over time, leading to wear or discoloration. For everyday messes, just wipe with a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge using warm water and mild soap. To refresh older or dirty surfaces, a non-wax spray polish like Endust® can help restore their appearance. Avoid harsh chemicals like acetone or lacquer thinner, as they can cause permanent damage. If a stain appears, try placing a cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol over the spot for 20–30 minutes before wiping clean. Thermofoil is especially vulnerable to prolonged heat exposure, so be mindful when selecting cabinetry for areas that receive direct sunlight.
Painted MDF Products
To keep painted MDF surfaces looking their best, clean regularly with a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water, then dry thoroughly to prevent streaks.
For tougher dirt or stains, mild household cleaners are generally safe to use. However, avoid using abrasive materials such as steel wool or polish, as they can damage the finish.
By following these care and maintenance guidelines, you can keep your Rosario Cabinets in excellent condition, ensuring they remain a beautiful part of your home for years to come.
